More About This Product

Released in 2002, this mandarin variety was developed by the University of California Riverside citrus breeding program. It's a Shasta and Tahoe Gold mandarin hybrid and ours were grown by Murray Family Farm in Bakersfield, CA. The smooth, unwaxed, red-orange rind, and the juicy segments are seedless, bright orange, and finely-textured. They taste rich and sweet with some acidic notes - more like an orange than a tangerine. Yosemite Golds last from January to mid-March and are a traditional fruit for Chinese New Year celebrations.
