Small tender roots in the brassica family wonderful roasted, steamed, sauteed, simmered in soups and stews or slivered and stir fried. Cook until just tender or they will lose some of ther earthy-sweet flavor and tender texture. Baby turnips can also be eaten raw in salads but you might want to salt the cut pieces first as you do eggplant to drain out excess moisture.
