Canola oil is oil made from crushed canola seeds. Because of its neutral, mild flavor, high smoke point (400 degrees Fahrenheit), and smooth texture, canola oil is one of the most versatile cooking oils; it can be used for sautéing, frying, stir-frying, and grilling, as well as in dressings, sauces, or marinades. It also has less saturated fat than many other common cooking oils, including olive oil.
