About TCHO Chocolate

TCHO Chocolate is a craft chocolate company that was founded in 2006 in San Francisco, California. Over the past sixteen years, TCHO has been producing delicious, Organic and Fair Trade certified chocolate using cacao beans sourced directly from cacao farmers around the world.

Driven by a strong commitment to sourcing high-quality flavors and organic ingredients, TCHO has partnered with cacao producers and cocoa research institutions worldwide to improve farmer livelihoods by co-creating better cacao beans to make better chocolate. As a proud B-Corp, TCHO is dedicated to continuous improvement in the areas of governance, the TCHO employee experience, community impact, environmental impact, and the TCHO customer experience.

Located in Berkeley, TCHO also holds chocolate tours that are open to the public. These tours consist of an introduction to cacao agriculture and sustainability, a private chocolate tasting, and lastly, an informative tour about the factory. In addition to creating chocolate, TCHO partners with chefs to develop delicious and unique dessert recipes through their TCHO PRO Initiative.

While many people are already aware of TCHO’s long time work with cocoa farmers and agronomists through our TCHO Source program, our B Corp certification is tangible proof of our dedication towards all aspects of sustainability. It not only holds us accountable for being a great employer and implementing sustainable practices in our Berkeley factory, it also impacts every relationship that TCHO has from cocoa seed to consumer.
