A tear drop shaped kumquat/mandarin hybrid with a distinct minneola- like knob on top. Much larger than the typical kumquat, it has a sweet peel and tart flesh, both of which are usually chopped up together for tangy marmalades and chutney. Mandarinquat's neon bright, orange colored rind also makes it a great fruit bowl garnish.
